Chery’s export sales in January-April increased by 12.6% Year-Over-Year

Saudi Arabia gulftech : Chery Group announced its April sales data: 55,588 vehicles were sold in April, and 284,865 vehicles from January through April, an increase of 0.9% compared with last year. Over the same period, Chery exported 84,993 vehicles, a year-on-year increase of 12.6%, setting a record for its exports globally.


From January-April, the TIGGO8 series “Chery’s Flagship” contributed 50,786 in global sales to Chery’s strategy of launching new versions of products based on user needs to expand its customer base, furthermore, the 500,000th TIGGO 8 vehicle rolled off the production line on April 26. A new product in this series, TIGGO 8 PRO e+, equipped with “DHT Super Hybrid Technology,” was launched in China at the end of March and since then more than 7,000 orders have been placed already.
In Chile, according to data released by ANAC (National Automotive Association of Chile), Chery’s sales in April increased by 47% year-over-year, with a market share of 14.1%. Overall, 11,346 vehicles were sold from January through April, with SUVs accounting for 17.4% of the market. Up until April, Chery’s sales volume of the TIGGO 2 series was the highest for 15 consecutive months in the SUV segment. Chery also organized a Golf Championship for test drives at the end of April. TIGGO 8 PRO, was the car for this event and was well received by the field media reporters.
According to the data released by Brazil Fenabrave (National Federation of Distribution of Motor Vehicles), Chery’s cumulative sales from January to April in Brazil reached 12,863, ranking ninth in cumulative retail sales, a market share of 3.51%. In the sedan segment, Chery’s ARRIZO 6 PRO ranked fourth, a market share of 4.54%. At the beginning of May, Chery also launched in Brazil a commemorative type TIGGO 8 Carlos, which was well received by the market. In the SUV segment, TIGGO 3X, TIGGO 5X, TIGGO 8 and other types continued to sell well.
In Egypt, Chery’s sales in April increased by 121% year-on-year, and 27% month-on-month; its cumulative sales in January-April was 8,206 vehicles, a year-on-year growth of 121%. In the SUV segment, Chery’s TIGGO 7 PRO and TIGGO 8 continued to sell well in Egypt.


In order to meet challenges, Chery ensures adequate supply and stable production throughout the world and launches new vehicle types based on customer needs to continuously deliver new experiences and new value to customers. Despite almost halving April sales in the automobile industry, Chery showed resilience in the face of COVID-19, unstable supply chain, etc., and is looking forward to a new wave of explosive growth when chip shortages and COVID-19 subside.
